Jacopo de' Barbari was an artist from the Republic of Venice. He lived from 1460 until 1516. In the north, he was known as Jakob Walsch.

Biography

He travelled to Germany in 1500 and remained in Wittenberg until 1506. He later held the position of court artist to the Emperor Maximilian and served as court painter to Margaret of Austria.
