Description
Keil Caves leads along a pale cliff path to a deep rock entrance, with sunlit stone, grassy slopes and blue coastal water opening the view beyond.
The cliff face is built from broad cream and ochre layers, broken by small ledges and trailing vegetation. Its shadowed opening dominates the right side, while scattered rocks mark the path and the hillside falls away towards a calm inlet and low land across the water.
Keil Caves captures the approach as much as the destination: the gradual walk under an exposed cliff, with the sea appearing at each turn. For those drawn to the Kintyre coast, the cave mouth, rough stone and distant headland preserve a close sense of the ground underfoot.
