Pavel Filonov, a central figure in the Russian avant-garde, developed a unique methodology he termed Analytical Art. This work, created in 1913, demonstrates his commitment to the principle of the organic growth of a painting. Rather than constructing a composition through traditional perspective, Filonov built the image cell by cell, allowing forms to emerge from the canvas surface as if they were living organisms.

The figures in this composition appear fragmented and elongated, occupying a space that defies conventional geometry.
