This engraving by Aegidius Sadeler (II) demonstrates the technical precision characteristic of the late sixteenth and early seventeenth-century Flemish school. Sadeler, a member of a prominent family of engravers, spent much of his career in Prague under the patronage of Emperor Rudolf II.
