Religious Art Prints

For centuries the church was the main patron of European painting. Altarpieces and devotional panels were made to be looked at every day, in churches and at home.

This collection brings together the religious works in the Solis Prints catalogue. It runs from the gold-ground panels of Duccio and Fra Angelico to Caravaggio's Supper at Emmaus and the etchings of Rembrandt. The Madonnas of Raphael and Bellini are here, and so is Holman Hunt's The Light of the World.

It also includes devotional art from outside Europe: Kalighat paintings of Krishna and Ganesha from 19th-century Calcutta, and Japanese paintings of Daruma, the founder of Zen, and of the bodhisattva Kannon.

Every print is made to order, unframed or framed and ready to hang.
