Ettrick Forest gathers a stone arch bridge, fast-running water and tall pines beneath broad Highland hills, giving the woodland valley a cool, sheltered character.
Dark blocks of masonry span the stream in a single broad curve, with pale ripples flashing between low rocks and pale pools below. Tall trunks frame one edge in deep green, while closer boulders, shrubs and layered blue ridges create depth beyond the crossing.
