This work by Adrianus Johannes Bik captures a maritime perspective of Fort Nassau, situated in the Banda Islands of the Moluccas. Bik, who served as a civil servant in the Dutch East Indies, utilised a delicate combination of graphite and watercolour to record the coastal environment.
