Description
Kent Downs National Landscape unfolds from a hilltop obelisk to chalky escarpments, rolling fields and hedgerows, all beneath a towering bank of warm cream cloud.
A tall square monument stands on the near crest, casting a firm shadow across the cropped grass. Beyond it, white scars cut through a long green ridge before giving way to a mosaic of fields and dark tree belts. The sky is deliberately generous, with layered cloud shapes glowing above the low horizon.
