Description
Loch Buidhe reflects a sharply rising Highland ridge beside tall pines, pairing calm water with the hard, vertical drama of the mountain above in clear light.
Pale slabs and blue-grey clefts mark the central peak, while smaller crags step down along the right-hand slope. A rocky shore carries lichen-covered boulders, low purple scrub and a dense fringe of conifers, with broken cream cloud scattered across the high sky.
People who have spent time around Loch Buidhe may know the stillness that makes the surrounding rock feel especially close. This scene traces the shore from the pines to the open water, where the mountain's broken outline returns in a dark, wavering reflection in the sheltered inlet below.
