Behind The Old Forge, a tapering brick chimney reaches into a bright blue sky above a cluster of white gabled buildings. A broad stone arch carries the road over the river, and the dark water below catches broken reflections from the bridge. Green trees frame the banks, while an arched doorway and slate roofs give the riverside its older texture.
