Description
Ibaraki-doji recoils with one arm remaining as the severed forearm drops across the pale ground and Tsuna holds the space won by his sword.
Tsuna’s blade changes the encounter. Ibaraki-doji escapes, but the severed arm remains as proof that the warrior survived contact with the demon. The trophy will make the danger follow him home.
This contemporary interpretation opens the picture after the compressed fight. Pale paper separates the three essential facts: Tsuna, the single-armed retreat, and the falling forearm. Restrained red and black let the consequence read immediately. In The Severed Arm, Ibaraki-doji retreating with one arm and severed demon forearm establish the pale paper black red rhythm assigned to scene 3. Its pale paper black red register binds Tsuna with sword to open pale ground; this keeps The Severed Arm active rather than becoming a static portrait.
