Description
Beinn Mholach (Drumochter) in Perthshire rises beyond a blue moorland pool, with soft green banks and scattered pale rocks under bright cream clouds on a calm summer afternoon.
This 841 metre Corbett forms the highest ground on the open moors south of the Drumochter mountains. Its summit is marked by a substantial cairn and offers wide views over the surrounding uplands. Approaches cross the remote country from Dalnaspidal or from Craiganour Lodge beside Loch Rannoch.
Beinn Mholach (Drumochter) appears as a broad green hill beyond a calm blue pool. Rounded banks project into the water beneath low scattered slabs of pale rock. Small purple heather flowers brighten the near grass, while blue ridges recede to the right. Cream clouds reflect in broken light shapes across the surface, suggesting a settled summer afternoon on the moor.
