Description
Beinn Udlamain in Perthshire spreads a broad green summit above a winding upland burn, with rust coloured heather and pale foreground rocks beneath scattered clouds on a clear late summer afternoon.
Beinn Udlamain is the highest of the four Munros west of Drumochter Pass, reaching 1,010 metres. A usual route combines it with Sgàirneach Mhòr. Adding A’ Mharconaich and Geal Chàrn creates a longer circuit, with views extending towards the mountains of the Ben Alder range.
A broad green crown stretches above a deep open hollow streaked with grey rock. A slender pale burn winds along the valley floor between dark patches of heather. Rust coloured bands cross the near grassy slope beside low grey boulders. Small white clouds float above the long summit skyline, suggesting clear late summer afternoon light over the rounded uplands.
