Description
Foel Fadian rises above the Dulas Valley in Sir Powys, where a broken central ridge and the long folds of the Cambrian hills make the summit the clear destination of the view.
Foel Fadian is a 564-metre summit in Sir Powys, Wales, beside Glaslyn in the northern Cambrian Mountains. It is the highest point on Glyndŵr’s Way, placing this rise among the route’s notable upland landmarks. From slopes above Rhiwgam, the view crosses the Dulas Valley towards the summit.
Here, Foel Fadian forms the high point above folds of nearer ridges. A pale, broken face cuts across the central slope, while a darker hillside sweeps down towards the foreground. Fine bands of distant hills sit beneath a wide, clouded sky. Green and muted rose tones divide the slopes, with tawny grass along the lower edge.
