Description
Hunmanby Gap leaves the Yorkshire coast wonderfully open, with an empty golden strand and clear shallows offering a bright seaside escape for days when space matters most.
Low dark reefs carry patches of olive growth beside thin white breakers. The wet margin forms broad scallops across the lower view, reflecting pale blue light. Farther along, steep brown faces are capped by green turf, with a few orange roofed houses perched high on the right.
At Hunmanby Gap, the long reach of shore towards Filey Bay allows each bend of the tide to remain distinct. The cliff line gives the beach enclosure on one side while the water opens freely on the other. A fondness for quiet seaside walking can find its place here, with no need to hurry towards the distant end of the sand.
