In the foreground, the elderly, sightless Isaac lies in a four-poster bed, his hand resting upon the head of a kneeling Jacob. Beside them, Rebekah stands, observing the deception. The figures are rendered with the characteristic linear precision of 16th-century German printmaking, where hatching and cross-hatching define the folds of garments and the textures of the bed hangings.
