Description
Rippled sands reflect the clouds at Sand Bay in North Somerset, where shallow silver channels stretch towards the low green outline of Sand Point beneath an open blue sky.
Sand Bay lies beside Kewstoke on the North Somerset coast, looking towards the headland of Sand Point. Projecting into the Bristol Channel north of Weston-super-Mare, the point forms a low natural boundary to the wide shore and its changing tidal sands.
Broad blue reflections spread between the brown ripples in the foreground. The shallow pools grow smoother towards the horizon, where a long wooded ridge ends in a low rocky tip on the left. A tiny pale building stands near the far right shore. Above, large white clouds leave soft grey shapes across the wet sand.
