Description
Sanna combines a bright turquoise bay, a long white beach and smooth dark rock shelves, with a pair of tiny white cottages tucked below green hills.
Whitewater laps the edge of the near rocks, and a small pool of blue lies trapped among them. Rounded green and grey summits rise behind the dunes, with a darker range further left. Small cumulus drifts across a deep blue sky, and the sand runs pale to the right.
On the Ardnamurchan peninsula, beaches like this one bring day trippers, campers and wild swimmers all summer. Anyone who has walked the rocks at Sanna will know the shallow turquoise water and its dazzling sand. Bright aqua and cream tones suit a bathroom, a hall or a summer-coloured living room.
