Description
Scourie opens around a blue bay, with pale sand at the tide line, rocky outcrops near the shore and low houses gathered beneath green hills.
Cloud hangs over a long dark ridge whose rocky face spans the horizon. Narrow tracks and field boundaries divide the green slopes, while white houses sit in small groups between trees. The sandy edge changes from cream to silver where shallow water spreads across it.
Scourie Bay is enclosed by the surrounding hills, with the village gathered along its far side and open water in front. A low wall and fence cross the green foreground, giving the approach a distinct edge before it meets the beach. For those drawn to Highland bays, the view connects village, hillside and shore while keeping the water open and visible.
