Description
Stob Choire Claurigh in Highland Lochaber carries a rounded snowy crown above ribbed corrie walls, with pale foreground slabs and gold grass beneath distant blue ranges in bright late spring light.
Stob Choire Claurigh is the highest summit of the Grey Corries, reaching 1,177 metres in Lochaber. Its scree covered slopes form part of a ridge route usually combined with Stob Coire an Laoigh. A southern approach from Stob Ban adds another Munro before the steep climb to the main crest.
Broad snow ribbons descend the dark corrie face beneath a rounded crown. Green and gold shelves interrupt the white channels, with a long shoulder running towards the right. Pale slabs lie across the near grassy bank, while layered blue ranges show further snow along the horizon. Bright clouds and thawing upper slopes suggest a clear day late in spring above the glens.
