Description
Stuchd an Lochain in Perth and Kinross rises above a dark corrie pool, with grey rock faces, green slopes and distant blue ridges beneath broad clouds lit by afternoon sun.
At the western end of Glen Lyon, this 960-metre Munro stands in the Breadalbane hills of the Southern Highlands. The mountain lies south of Loch an Daimh, with the small Lochan na Cat held in its summit corrie beneath the higher ground.
At Stuchd an Lochain, a steep green mountain with grey crags rises on the left above a rounded dark-blue pool. A narrow outflow cuts through its grassy rim. Pale rocks lie among tawny foreground plants, while distant water and blue peaks recede beyond the corrie. Warm cloud edges and clear shadows suggest a late summer afternoon.
