Description
The Law, Dundee rises above close-packed rooftops and leafy streets, with its summit memorial, a slender mast and distant blue water bringing the city's high green landmark into view.
Rows of pale chimneys interrupt the grey and brown roofs in the foreground. Behind a belt of trees, the hill rises in a broad rounded shoulder. A tall stone monument stands near its highest point, with open sky and softer distant ridges visible around the summit.
Seen from Logie in the retained source, The Law, Dundee is part of the city's everyday outlook. The homes and mature trees below it provide a clear sense of scale, rather than leaving the hill isolated against the sky. Cooler blue tones in the distance contrast with the warm masonry and the brighter turf around the summit memorial.
