Description
The Mamores stretch above a rust-coloured Highland glen, with a stony path, scattered grey boulders and a succession of pointed ridges softened by pale clouds and distant blue slopes.
A narrow track winds from the lower right towards the centre of the valley. Pale stones interrupt the low heather and tawny grasses beside it. Beyond, a broad shoulder carries a band of exposed rock, with darker triangular summits rising on either side.
The retained view looks towards The Mamores across open upland ground. The path provides a close connection with the hills while leaving the group spread widely across the skyline. Warm vegetation covers the gentler lower slopes, contrasting with cool grey stone and the blue distance between the peaks, giving the glen both texture and depth.
