Description
As dawn opens over the fields, a lone fox moves away from the last foxfires, leaving the changing tree and the night's evidence behind in a quiet image of departure.
Morning changes the scale of the encounter. The fox is now a small departing figure moving through pale ground, while the tree and the last lights remain behind it. The night has not been explained or resolved; daylight simply makes its traces harder to hold.
Open paper, soft jade, smoke grey and straw give the final panel a long exhale after the darker scenes. Its rear three quarter view lets the eye travel into the distance, while broken marks keep the surface tactile. This contemporary interpretation closes the four print sequence assembled from Oji foxfire and fox spirit traditions at Oji.
