Biography

The CoBrA group subscribed to the theory of automatism, where artists allowed unconscious impulses to direct the creative process. The members collaborated on books and prints, and they worked together on murals in a house near Copenhagen during the summer of 1949. The group disbanded in 1951, after which Constant followed his own artistic path. Solis Prints offers fine art prints of his work, including La ville noyée and Le massacre.
