Abergele / Maen Achwyfan Cross centres on an intricately carved stone cross above calm water, backed by blue-grey hills and a broad, luminous sky after rain.
The carved cross rises from a stepped stone base, its rounded arms and shaft filled with knotwork-like panels that catch the warm side light. Behind it, a strip of water separates the foreground grass from soft blue-grey hills. Heavy blue cloud gathers at the left, opening towards pale gold and cream above the distant ridges.
