Description
Afon Glaslyn in Eryri runs past a pale village church, with white water curling around dark boulders below green hills and a steep wooded rock face in bright summer light.
At Beddgelert, this river forms part of a mountain landscape linked by paths through the Aberglaslyn Pass and towards Llyn Dinas. Rocky gorges alternate with more open valley reaches, while nearby woodland and upland slopes give the waterway its varied setting within Eryri National Park.
Across Afon Glaslyn, a pale church with tall windows stands beside an open lawn and low stone walls. White cascades tumble between rounded rocks into clear turquoise pools. Leafy trees climb the steep left bank, with green mountain slopes beyond. Large white clouds and sunlit foliage suggest the freshness of an early summer afternoon.
