Description
Beinn a' Bha'ach Ard in Highland overlooks blue water and dark conifers beneath snowy heights, where pale birch trunks and warm shoreline foliage give the cold scene a softer foreground.
Rising north of Glen Strathfarrar, this Corbett reaches 862 metres above the eastern entrance to the glen. The usual approach begins at Inchmore, while higher views extend towards the Beauly and Moray firths and the mountains of the neighbouring Highland valleys.
Beyond the water, Beinn a' Bha'ach Ard forms a broad white skyline. Blue shadows describe rounded hollows in the snow, contrasting with the dark conifer belt below. Pale trunked trees and gold foliage occupy a small point on the right, with muted rust plants along the near bank. Bright cream clouds and clear sunlight suggest a cold late autumn day with fresh snow on the heights.
