Description
Beinn a' Chreachain in Perthshire curves above dark craggy corries in a broad green ridge, with pale foreground slabs beneath scattered white clouds in bright summer afternoon sunshine.
This 1,081 metre Munro is the easternmost of the four mountains in the Bridge of Orchy group. Coire an Lochain cuts its northern flank around a small loch. The summit overlooks the expanse of Rannoch Moor and is often reached alongside neighbouring Beinn Achaladair from Achallader Farm.
Beinn a' Chreachain rises in a broad green crown above deeply cut dark crags. A pale path curls along the right shoulder before climbing towards the stony upper ground. Grey slabs and smaller broken rocks interrupt the near grass, beyond which the corrie drops steeply away. Scattered clouds leave a wide blue sky above the snowless ridge, suggesting bright summer afternoon conditions.
