Description
Beinn a' Chuallaich in Perthshire lifts a rounded green skyline above a broad moorland hollow, with purple brown heather and pale boulders below tall white clouds on a sunny summer afternoon.
This 891 metre Corbett rises above Dunalasdair Water opposite Schiehallion. Its large summit cairn commands an extensive Perthshire panorama. A circular route begins from the B847, while another approach leaves Kinloch Rannoch and crosses Càrn Fiaclach. The less visited northern side overlooks Loch Errochty.
Beinn a' Chuallaich forms a smooth green dome with grey shaded ribs across its face. A tiny cairn breaks the long upper skyline. A pale path winds over the open hollow below, beyond sloping bands of purple brown heather. Large light grey boulders interrupt the near grass, while high white clouds suggest a settled summer afternoon over the open moorland.
