Description
Beinn Alligin in Torridon, Highland, offers a high outlook across terraced green crags and blue coastal water, with a dark cleft lending the sunlit mountain face dramatic depth.
On the northern side of Upper Loch Torridon, this is the westernmost of the area's three great mountain masses. Its two Munro summits and the ridgeline known as the Horns form a celebrated circuit within the National Trust for Scotland's Torridon Estate.
The view from Beinn Alligin crosses a steep green face marked by horizontal rock terraces. A deep dark gully cuts between two upper ridges, while a narrow pale trail follows the sunlit crest. Blue water winds through the left distance beneath layered purple mountains. Near boulders catch warm light above yellow green grass. The clear, snow free heights suggest summer with wide visibility over the surrounding country.
