Description
Beinn na Seilg (Ardnamurchan) in the Highlands crowns a rolling coastal moor, with small shining lochs and warm orange rock beneath a low sun over the western sea.
At 344 metres, Beinn na Seilg is a hill in western Ardnamurchan, close to the peninsula’s Atlantic edge. It rises south of Achnaha, above a district of low rocky knolls and small lochs. The modest height still gives an open outlook towards the surrounding coast.
The scene looks towards Beinn na Seilg (Ardnamurchan) across copper coloured moorland, with two pale pools tucked between dark hummocks. Broad slabs in the foreground catch the last light, while the rounded hill forms a deep mauve crown. A low golden sun sits near the sea horizon on the right. Purple and peach clouds complete the warm evening view, whose russet vegetation suggests autumn.
