Description
Bellever Tor, Devon rises in piled granite slabs above heather, rough grass and a distant valley. Cream cloud and lichen-speckled stone give this travel poster a clear, recognisable Dartmoor presence.
Stacked granite slabs rise at Bellever Tor, their rounded ledges marked with pale lichen, dark seams and small green patches. The formation sits above rough grass and heather, with blue-green fields and long valley bands receding to the left. Cream cloud fills the wide sky behind the rock.
Anyone recalling the climb at Bellever Tor will recognise the sudden scale of granite against the valley below. Ochre grass and rust-coloured heather warm the cool grey stone, while the wide sky leaves the summit exposed. The piled tor stands high above the patchwork valley among lichen-speckled boulders.
