Description
Ben Klibreck - Meall nan Con in the Highlands rises beyond heather and shining pools, its long mauve ridge giving the open Sutherland moors a broad and solitary skyline.
An isolated mountain in central Sutherland, Ben Klibreck reaches 962 metres at its highest summit. Only Ben Hope lies farther north among the Munros. Heathery western slopes contrast with large grassy corries on the eastern side, above a wide expanse of moorland.
The view towards Ben Klibreck - Meall nan Con crosses a patchwork of blue water and ochre reeds before reaching a dark belt of conifers. The broad crest carries small pale snow remnants, suggesting a cool spring day. Purple heather and dry grasses spread across the near slope, while thin cream clouds leave much of the blue sky clear.
