Description
Bishop's Castle in Shropshire climbs a hillside near the Welsh border, with clustered slate roofs, tall chimneys and a square church tower set against green fields and a wooded ridge.
A historic market town on the edge of the Shropshire Hills, Bishop's Castle is known for its brewing tradition and access to walking country. The Three Tuns and Six Bells brew on site, while nearby routes connect the settlement with the surrounding border hills.
From above the rooftops, narrow streets run between cream houses and exposed dark timber framing. Red chimney stacks rise in close succession towards a square church tower among mature trees. Bright fields climb behind the buildings to a long forested ridge. Full foliage suggests summer, with cream clouds and clear sunlight warming the town's pale walls.
