Description
Black Star in Cumbria cradles a small blue tarn below a gold rocky ridge, with pale paths and distant valley water beneath scattered cream clouds in clear late summer afternoon light.
This high ground lies on Honister Crag in the western Lake District. A small tarn occupies a hollow among rough grass and exposed rock, above the lower valleys near Honister Pass. The surrounding ridges belong to the steep fell country east of the Buttermere valley.
Black Star has a small blue tarn beside pale paths that twist towards a rounded gold crest. Dark rock faces drop sharply down the right side above green fields and a winding valley stream. Layered blue mountains surround further distant water. Grey near slabs and dry upland grass beneath scattered cream clouds suggest clear afternoon conditions late in summer.
