Description
Blea Tarn in Cumbria spreads turquoise water below rugged green mountain tops, with small leafy shore trees and grey near boulders beneath crisp white clouds in bright sunshine during summer.
This upland lake lies near Little Langdale, in the central Lake District. Its northern outlook takes in the Langdale Pikes and the nearby rocky ground around Side Pike. Open grassy margins and scattered woodland place the water within a compact valley enclosed by higher fell slopes.
Blea Tarn has turquoise water edged by irregular green banks and a small group of leafy trees. Rugged mountain tops rise beyond the open valley, with dark rock scars crossing their sunlit slopes. A few pointed conifers stand on the left hillside. Grey near boulders and crisp white clouds suggest bright summer conditions across the quiet grassy lakeside.
