Description
Caigary Bay centres on a white lighthouse above turquoise water, where layered cliffs and a crescent of sand create a bright Atlantic coastal scene.
The tall lighthouse stands on a grassy headland, its red lantern contrasting with white walls and the blue sea behind it. Below, a narrow sandy inlet curves between dark rocks, while a low cliffed island stretches across the middle distance. Broad cream clouds float over the water and far blue hills.
Caigary Bay is presented through the meeting of shore, headland and open water. The path of the beach leads towards the lighthouse, and the changing bands of sea colour keep attention on the edge between the small cove and the wider coast.
