He aimed to capture the beauty of the natural world and the human experience within it. 'Cemetery among the Cypresses' presents a tranquil, almost ethereal view of a cemetery. Tall, slender cypress trees dominate the scene, their dark forms contrasting with the lighter tones of the sky and the stone structures within the cemetery.
