Description
Combe Point in Devon projects into quiet blue coastal water, with green headland slopes, pale distant houses and a church spire above hedged fields beneath the white clouds of summer.
On the coast near Dartmouth, this gorse-covered outcrop lies along a National Trust walking route through coastal grassland. Nearby rocky inlets include Shinglehill Cove and Willow Cove, and the cliffs support birds such as stonechats, linnets and cirl buntings.
The view of Combe Point looks across a calm blue bay towards a rounded grassy headland. Grey rocks break its lower edge, while hedges divide the rising fields behind. Pale houses gather near a distant church spire on the right, above a thin arc of beach. Dense shrubs frame the nearer slope under bright cloud, suggesting a settled day in summer.
