Description
Cona' Mheall in the northern Highlands rises in a broad stony crown above gold upland grass, with scattered grey rocks and rust coloured heather beneath a clear blue summer sky.
Cona' Mheall is a 978 metre Munro east of the main Beinn Dearg mountain mass near Ullapool. Its stony ridge overlooks the rocky hollow of Coire Ghrunnda. The mountain is commonly included in a circuit from Inverlael, while a rougher southern approach reaches its scrambling ridge.
A wide grey summit shoulder occupies the centre, with a steep shadowed face falling left and a sharper rib dropping on the right. Yellow green turf spreads across the near plateau, broken by rust red heather and low pale stones. More rounded hills fade into blue behind the main mass. Small white clouds drift above the bare upper slopes, giving the high ground an open summer character.
