Description
Cove Well opens onto Lancashire's Silverdale shore, where a pale rock face, dark boulders and broad tidal sands meet blue channels across the open reaches of Morecambe Bay.
On the Silverdale shore in Lancashire, Cove Well is a freshwater spring emerging through the shingle of The Cove. A Geograph account describes its outflow cutting a gully in the mud at low tide, placing this small water source within a much larger tidal landscape.
Pale rock rises close on the left above dark, seaweed-coloured stones. Shallow blue channels divide wide sandbanks, with a narrow gully cutting through the near mud. Green leaves overhang the cliff and distant land forms a low blue line. Bright daylight and full foliage suggest summer, giving the exposed foreshore a spacious appearance while the close rocks retain their rough texture.
