Description
Coventry spreads beyond an angular glass roof in a patchwork of warm brick and pale concrete, with tall office blocks rising above the treetops under a generous blue sky.
Coventry brings together medieval heritage and a history of engineering in the heart of England. St Mary's Guildhall preserves a link with visiting royalty, while the city's transport museum explores the automotive industry and its contribution to attempts on the land speed record.
From the elevated viewpoint, closely packed roofs fill the lower half of the scene. A glazed pyramid sits within a broad grey roof, surrounded by red brick walls and rectangular windows. Beyond, a striped tower rises among larger blocks, with green trees threading between them. Distant suburbs give way to a low horizon beneath banks of cream coloured cloud.
