Description
Dava Way runs 24 miles between Forres and Grantown-on-Spey along the former Highland Railway, giving walkers and off-road cyclists a route over Dava Moor into Strathspey.
A narrow track runs through a wooded cutting, framed by sloping green banks and mature trees. Ferns and yellow flowers edge the path as it leads towards a bright opening beyond the canopy. Its shaded surface contrasts with the bright opening at the end of the cutting.
At 24 miles (38 km), Dava Way is a route for walkers and off-road cyclists between Forres and Grantown-on-Spey. It follows the former Highland Railway, crossing Dava Moor before descending into Strathspey. Woodland and farmland give way to the open moor, then the route drops towards the Spey valley and its southern endpoint.
