Victor Brauner, a Romanian-French Surrealist painter and sculptor, created 'Demonocratic Soul' in 1943. He was associated with André Breton and other leading figures of the movement. Brauner's unique visual language incorporates biomorphic forms, distorted figures, and enigmatic imagery.
