He developed a distinctive style that blended automatism with personal symbolism. His art frequently incorporates elements of humour and the grotesque. 'Fascination' presents a bizarre tableau featuring hybrid creatures arranged around a simple wooden table. On the left, a dog-like figure with an open mouth appears to confront a humanoid figure with a bird-like head. The humanoid figure has a long, curving neck and sits rigidly, while a phallic form rests on the table's edge. The scene is rendered in muted tones of brown, beige, and yellow, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. A dark, indistinct background adds to the sense of unease and mystery. The composition is unsettling, inviting viewers to contemplate the hidden meanings and psychological undercurrents within Brauner's surreal vision.
