Description
Rounded stones break the silver surface through Findhorn Glen in the Highlands, where a bank of green ferns follows the river bend beneath wooded slopes and pale clouds.
Findhorn Glen follows the river through the Scottish Highlands near Ruthven. This reach lies upstream of Shenachie, a small ruined settlement on its banks. Open ground meets woodland along the valley, with exposed stones interrupting the channel between gently enclosing hills.
The river sweeps from the lower left towards a bend in the distance. Light ripples gather around dark boulders, leaving broad patches of reflected sky between them. Ferns crowd the nearer bank on the right, opposite a strip of yellow green grass. Trees climb the farther slope, broken by muted purple patches beneath a soft blue and cream sky.
