Description
Freshwater West opens across a wide sweep of pale sand, with low grassy dunes, distant headlands and thin blue tidal channels leading towards the open Pembrokeshire sea beyond.
Tufts of long grass border a narrow sandy track at the bottom of the view. Farther out, shallow water leaves blue-grey ribbons across the broad beach. A line of small waves breaks beneath the horizon, while low green cliffs close the bay at the right.
At low tide, Freshwater West exposes a large expanse of sand, as the retained source photograph records. The view leaves that open ground largely uninterrupted, with dunes and darker coastal rock providing its edges. Soft light catches the wet surface in long bands, giving the bay a spacious character that extends well beyond the nearest shore.
