Description
Glais Bheinn (Morvern) in the western Highlands forms a long green escarpment across warm coastal water, with dark shore rocks, small white flowers and peach clouds catching the light of a summer sunset.
In southern Morvern, this hill rises southeast of Ardtornish above the coast near the Sound of Mull. Its long rocky edge is a distinctive feature of the local uplands. Open ground above the escarpment contrasts with the more sheltered woodland and fields on the lower coastal slopes.
Glais Bheinn (Morvern) extends across the far shore as a low green ridge above a continuous purple rock wall. Small fields and trees occupy the ground beneath it, with a tiny ruined tower near the water. Dark rounded boulders and pale flowers frame the foreground. Gold and lavender reflections spread across the channel below peach cloud banks, suggesting a quiet summer evening.
