Description
Glas Tulaichean in Perthshire looks down over blue mountain water and small green islands, with rust coloured slopes and pale snow patches beneath high clouds in bright late spring sunshine.
This 1,051 metre Munro rises in the mountains near Spittal of Glenshee. A broad upper dome is approached by a long estate track that climbs almost to the summit. Walkers often combine the ascent with neighbouring Càrn an Rìgh, extending the journey across the surrounding high country.
Glas Tulaichean overlooks blue water dotted with small green islands below rounded purple brown slopes. Grey rock ribs break the higher faces, with a few long snow patches on shaded ground. A thin blue burn bends through the lower hollow towards near heather and pale boulders. High bright clouds and retreating snow suggest a clear day late in spring.
